“From one thing, know ten thousand things” -Miyamoto Musashi

“Under the sword lifted high, There is hell making you tremble. But go ahead, And you have the land of bliss.” -Miyamoto Musashi

Now, just why am I quoting an ancient martial arts master? Because the next article I have to illustrate for Ink and Fairydust Magazine is about weapons. And, well, because any excuse to quote Miyamoto Musashi is good enough for me.

I fancy I am the middle one...

“Do not sleep under a roof. Carry no money or food. Go alone to places frightening to the common brand of men. Become a criminal of purpose. Be put in jail, and extricate yourself by your own wisdom.” -Miyamoto Musashi (just because it sounded cool?)

More such quotes by him:

“The only reason a warrior is alive is to fight, and the only reason a warrior fights is to win”

“When you decide to attack, keep calm and dash in quickly, forestalling the enemy...attack with a feeling of constantly crushing the enemy, from first to last.”

“Perception is strong and sight weak."

“To become the enemy, see yourself as the enemy of the enemy”

I had fun with this drawing.

  2. ..... I just found your blog.

    Your header. I love it.

And then I saw this picture.

And then I fell in love with everything.

    :)

Seriously, drawings like that are what spur my imagination when I write (*cough* or, when I just extra motivation for living, ya know....). Anyway, consider me your newest faithful follower! <3 <3 <3 Keep drawing :D

  3. Thanks so much! It meant a lot to get this. :) I need what motivation I can get too ya know. ;) I am glad I was able to inspire you to keep fighting the dashed fight as well.

And while I may be slow at the moment, I will keep drawing. I've realized this before, but even during slow times or health issues, I don't think giving up is an option for me, because I don't think I would know how to do it, at least in regards to art.

I am just starting to write some myself. I love it. I haven't officially announced it to my little blogging world, but, who knows what you may see in the future.

Keep writing and living! Especially that last one...
